About the Role

We're looking for a Health Administration Officer to join our friendly front desk and admin team in a casual position, supporting both our clients and more than 15 independent mental health practitioners. You'll be the calm, capable point of contact at Reception - helping us keep things smooth and organized.

The practice operates six days; Monday to Friday 8am–6 pm and Saturday 8am–4pm.

We are looking for an Administration Officer who can work up to 8-9 hours per day, with availability for three days per week.

Hourly rate $31.00 - $34.00; Hourly rate negotiable, dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.

You will be a positive, self-motivated and flexible individual who is detail oriented with exceptional time-management skills. Confidence in communicating with clients, staff and practitioners is crucial. This is a client facing role that requires a well-presented individual.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your key responsibilities will include:

· Greeting clients and handling reception phone calls

· Booking and updating appointments using PracSuite

· Processing payments (Tyro, Medicare, Workcover, Private Health, DVA)

· Handling referrals, emails, Medical Objects and basic transcription

· Using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for day-to-day tasks

· Liaising with insurers and government departments

· Maintaining a clean, welcoming office space and supporting a variety of admin tasks

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You...

· Have 2+ years' experience in a health admin or customer service role

· Bring a positive, can-do attitude and strong time management skills

· Are detail-oriented, flexible, and confident in juggling multiple tasks

· Are tech-savvy and comfortable using or learning new systems like PracSuite

· Enjoy working in a supportive, people-first team

· Understand the importance of confidentiality and professionalism.

· Are a either student or looking for a return-to-work position.

· Bonus: You’ve worked in a mental health setting or have Medicare billing experience
