We’re expanding our workshop at Coastal Cars Select, and we’re looking for a motivated mechanic to join the team

Full-Time – 42 hrs per week

Pay negotiable based on experience

What we’re looking for:

Qualified mechanic (post-apprenticeship welcome)

Driven, reliable, and ready to contribute to the team

Current driver’s licence

Must bring your own tools (we provide a great array of workshop tools too!)

About the role
Coastal Cars Select is one of the largest used car dealerships on the Coast. We have a strict reconditioning process and prepare our cars to a high standard. We have a used car showroom and a seperate workshop with brand new equipment.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on customer vehicles including oil changes, brake inspections and wheel alignments

Diagnose and repair faults, malfunctions and breakdowns using the latest tools and equipment

Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used

Provide high-quality customer service and act as a point of contact for clients

Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures

Comply with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent

Experience as a qualified vehicle mechanic

Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and the ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently

Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing high-quality workmanship

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
