Wicked Campers is a global tour de force in 4WD & Campervan rentals, with over 14 locations across Australia and New Zealand. We believe the best way to holiday is on the road, and our vehicles give travellers that freedom.

Due to increased demand, we are looking for a qualified Motor Mechanic to join our team at our Brisbane depot, servicing and repairing our diverse fleet of campervans, 4WDs and passenger vehicles.

Role Responsibilities and Duties

Carry out general and logbook servicing, inspections and mechanical repairs

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment

Conduct road test driving and quality control, ensure vehicle is roadworthy

Perform safety checks and maintain accurate repair and service records

Complete damage assessments (including offsite breakdown) and repair reports

Perform complex repairs like engine rebuilds, transmission overhauls and replacing worn or damaged parts

Qualification, Skills & Experience Required

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent overseas qualifications)

Minimum 1 – 2 years mechanical experience in repairing and maintaining a range of motor vehicles

Experience in dismantling and reassembling engines, mechanical and electrical parts

Sound knowledge of vehicle systems (suspension, brakes, wiring, drivetrain)

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment

Strong attention to details and problem-solving skills

Commitment to workplace safety and high-quality workmanship

Valid manual open driver’s license

Job Type: Permanent Full Time - at least 38 hours a week

Annual Base Salary: $77,000 to $88,920 + Superannuation
