About Us

Traprock Constructions is a well-established family-owned construction company based 50km West of Stanthorpe (between Stanthorpe and Texas). We specialise in the construction of structural steel buildings, particularly large-scale agricultural, industrial and commercial sheds. We also operate a 13,000 acre sheep, cattle and goat property, making us true bush builders!

The business is growing and moving in a clear new direction. We’re rebranding, refining how we work and expanding beyond local projects. Our vision is simple: to become a household name in custom, quality steel structures across rural and regional Australia.

Our focus is on creating new systems, improving processes and building a workplace where our team feel valued. We want a carpenter who’s excited to be part of this change— someone who can help shape it and grow with us.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised tradesman with the passion to become a key member of our team. You will be sensible and safety-focused, with high attention to detail and happy to work alone or in a small team. We are ideally looking for a qualified tradesman with 5 + years experience who can follow direction and work unsupervised if required.

You will be:

Trade qualified cert 3

Willing to learn or try new experiences

Proud of your workmanship

From the land or interested in rural clients

Able to work unsupervised as well as follow direction

Hold a drivers licence with your own vehicle

Equipped with your own tools

About the Role

We cover all aspects of the construction process from concreting through to completion. The work will typically be in the Stanthorpe region, however we are expanding and will travel for work particularly in rural areas, offering a change of pace and exposure to diverse projects. Accommodation can vary from rolling out a swag to staying in motels, depending on the project. We are flexible on travel for the right person as we understand family comes first.

We hold Monday Toolbox Meetings to check in, share what’s working and what’s not, and run through upcoming projects. We want everyone involved and informed. You will be working directly with the owner of the business, giving you the chance to learn, contribute ideas and take on real responsibility. Ideally, we would like someone who can run the show one day!

This position would suit a young family as we have a three bedroom renovated home on the property (including wifi and electricity) available for reduced rent, for the right person. Our closest school is Greenlands and the bush bus stops at our driveway. Living on-farm is not required however.
