About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter and 3-4th year apprentices to join the Keighran Building Group team in Toowoomba. This full-time role will involve working on a variety of residential construction projects, utilising your exceptional carpentry skills to contribute to the successful delivery of these projects.

What you'll be doing

Supervising apprentices and employees

Reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications

Performing a wide range of carpentry duties such as framing, roofing, siding, and finish work

Installing doors, windows and other interior and exterior fixtures

Collaborating with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards

Maintaining a safe and organised work environment by following all relevant safety protocols

What we're looking for

Formal carpentry qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter, preferably in the residential construction industry

Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as carpentry machinery

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment

Current White Card (Construction Induction) certification is required before commencing employment

Australian citizenship is required for this position
