Permanent full-time role

We currently have an opportunity for a Civil Maintenance Labourer to join our team.
In the role of Civil Maintenance Labourer, you will assist with the full range of civil maintenance and construction activities across the municipality in a safe and efficient manner.
This will involve:
- Liaising with the Team Leader to ensure civil maintenance works are planned and coordinated as required
- Conducting general maintenance works on the Council’s road network to identify and rectify defects
- Installing and maintaining signage across the road network and other Council areas
- Undertaking painting and line marking of roads and footpaths
- Installing & maintaining various stormwater infrastructure components
- Carrying out the general maintenance to various council assets
- Undertaking traffic control in accordance with Council’s policies
- Working in accordance with relevant Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
What we offer...
- Permanent full-time role, nine-day working fortnight equating to a 38-hour week
- Commencing annual salary from $57,976 to $63,919
(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience) - Progressive annual salary up to $70,471

What you'll need to be successful in the role...
It’s essential that you have the following:
- Minimum Class C Drivers Licence
- WHS construction induction white card
- Safe Work NSW Traffic Controller - TC
- Safe Work NSW Implement Traffic Control Plan – IMP
It would also be beneficial to have any of the following:
- MR Drivers Licence
- Level 1 Chainsaw Operator’s Certificate
- ChemCert Certificate
- Safe Work NSW Prepare a Work zone Traffic Management Plan – PW
- Recent Civil Maintenance & Construction Experience.

Your employment will be subject to a pre-employment medical, national criminal record check and verification checks to determine your suitability for employment.
All employees and other workers must uphold and promote safety and wellbeing for children and young people.
A merit list may be created for any roles that arise within the next six months. Future roles may include permanent part-time, full-time and casual arrangements.
