The Role

We are currently seeking a Automotive Fitter & Machinist to join our team and work with one of our highly respected clients, who is based in Welshpool, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company and be responsible for servicing, rebuilding, engine machining, supplying complete new engines and genuine & aftermarket spare parts.

About the Role:

Immediate work available – ASAP start

Day shifts

45 to 50 hours per week

Workshop-based role in Welshpool

Skills and Experience Required:

Perform precision fitting, turning, and machining tasks using manual machines, lathes, milling machines, and other conventional equipment to meet exact specifications.

Inspect, repair, and recondition engines and mechanical components, ensuring alignment, tolerances, and surface finishes meet quality standards.

Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, technical manuals, and job specifications to plan and execute machining and fitting tasks.

Diagnose mechanical faults, determine root causes, and apply effective repair or modification solutions to restore optimal function.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to company safety protocols and quality control procedures.

Manage work schedules efficiently by arriving punctually, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring deadlines are consistently met with minimal supervision.
