The Role

We are currently seeking a Manual Machinist to join our team and work with one of our highly respected clients, who is based in Canning Vale, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company and be responsible for welding high-quality products used across multiple industries.

About the Role:

Immediate work available – ASAP start

Day shifts

45 to 50 hours per week

Workshop-based role in Canning Vale

Ongoing opportunity

Temporary to Permanent opportunity for the right person

Skills and Experience Required:

Must have a Trade certificate or equivalent in Machining background

Qualified Machinist with at least 5 years of proven experience

Experience in Manual Machining using lathes, mills, and horizontal borer

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to operate the Gantry crane to help set up jobs

Assisting all tradesmen with technical issues when required

Ensure all workshop consumables and oil levels are kept at agreed levels

Making sure nominated delivery dates are met and are on budget

Ensure all tasks are completed within the nominated hours quoted

Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints

Diagnose and troubleshoot machine or quality issues, adjusting processes as needed

Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic

Must be able to complete and pass a full pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test

Forklift ticket (Desirable but not essential)
