Our client is a leading Australian-owned specialist in underbody and power transmission components, providing high-quality parts and services to a range of industries located in Canning Vale who are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter & Turner to join their team.

Role: Mechanical Fitter & Turner
Location: Canning Vale
Rate: $55p/hr - $57p/hr + Super (dependant on experience)
Hours: 8:30am - 4pm (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Read drawings/specifications, measure accurately, and diagnose mechanical faults.
• Apply mechanical, fitting, and machining skills to driveshafts, CV joints, differentials, and gearboxes.
• Assemble fabricated parts and subassemblies; undertake MIG welding and industrial balancing.
• Perform operational maintenance and quality checks on all components.
• Operate machinery and gantry crane safely
• Lift heavy components safely following manual handling techniques.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute to workshop improvements, including administrative tasks, stock control, and customer communications.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Fitting and/or Turning), Mechanical Fitter, or similar qualification.
• Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
• Gantry Crane Experience (highly desirable)
• Previous workshop experience required
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for fitting skills.
• Good communication skills with team, management, suppliers, and customers.
• Energetic, hands-on, and able to work productively in a small team environment.
