Role Overview
As Junior Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice and support across the Group Life and Retirement business, covering areas such as life insurance, investments, and retirement products. You will work closely with senior lawyers on commercial agreements, regulatory issues, marketing compliance, and breach reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated lawyer to work on a broad range of legal and commercial matters within financial services.

Skills & Experience

• Admitted as a solicitor in Australia
• 3+ years’ post-admission experience in financial services law
• Strong technical knowledge of legislation such as the Corporations Act, Life Insurance Act, Insurance Contracts Act, and Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act
• Experience with life investment products, group insurance, retirement income, or commercial contracts is highly regarded
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a strong customer service mindset
