Recognition of Prior Learning and/or enrolment in Cert II & III in Community Pharmacy

A precise attention to detail – a knack for administration is the key to success

Proven experience in working with a broad range of roles and responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Dispensary Manager, the Dispensary Technician is solution focused and works ‘behind the counter’ to compile medicine orders for patients, manage stock and correctly follow all policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

Process prescriptions and timely preparation of prescription medicines in readiness for pharmacist clinical and compliance confirmation.

Replenish stock and coordinate stock movement into the dispensary

Assist in packing of Dose Administration Aids

Attend all required meetings

Promote Wizard Pharmacy Health Service programs

PBS Claims

Mental Health Claiming

Workers Compensation Processing

Dispensary related report generation and distribution

Maintain supplies of store consumables

Maintain a clean and clinically appropriate dispensary environment

Make recommendations to customers at times, within your training level and experience

Manage and pack DAA's within store protocols
