THE ROLE
The SDA Tenancy Officer is responsible for providing a quality tenancy service to residents who live in department owned Specialist Disability Accommodation with Disability Homes Victoria. This role has key working relationships with residents, their support networks and Supported Independent Living (SIL) providers.
This role will establish and manage individual tenancies, and ensure they are compliant in line with the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Victoria), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and other relevant legislation, regulation and policy
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide a high quality and compliant Specialist Disability Accommodation tenancy service by adhering to legislation, regulation, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships across the department and work in collaboration with key stakeholders, such as residents, their families, support networks and Supported Independent Living (SIL) providers.
- Communicate effectively in the mode of communication that a resident is most likely to understand. This may include, but is not limited to telephone, video or in person meetings.

This is a Key Personnel Role
Staff appointed to this role at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing may not commence in role until they have an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and have provided this detail for recording.
