Crane Technician (A-Grade Electrician)

We’re an ISO 9001–certified specialist servicing overhead cranes, hoists, GTU systems and lifting gear across WA’s mining, energy, marine and manufacturing sectors. With growing demand, we’re adding a hands-on Crane Technician with a current WA Electrical Licence to our Perth team.

The role

You’ll carry out electrical service, repairs and commissioning on overhead cranes and hoists in accordance with AS/NZS 3000, AS 1418 and AS 2550, including:

Fault-finding and breakdowns (VSDs, PLC I/O, limiters, radio remotes, overload protection)

Routine maintenance, statutory inspections, and third-party/major (10-year/25-year) inspections

Installations, upgrades and load testing (with our in-house test gear)

Occasional mechanical tasks (rope & wheel changes, alignments)

Site reports, risk assessments and client sign-off

Work is Perth-metro with occasional site travel (Pilbara/Goldfields) and optional interstate/overseas work for the right person.

What you’ll need (must-haves)

Current WA Electrical Worker’s Licence (A-Grade)

Current C Class driver’s licence, White Card, LVR/CPR

Solid experience with overhead cranes/hoists or closely related industrial E&I service

Strong fault-finding on VSDs, control circuits, safeties and remotes

Safety-first mindset and tidy workmanship; able to pass D&A and medical

Nice to have (bonus points)

Working at Heights / EWP / Forklift / Dogging or Rigging

Experience with CMMS/reporting, load cells and test equipment

Exposure to major inspections, NDT coordination, DNV/API environments or marine/offshore cranes
