About the role

KEMA Care Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced Special Autism Support Worker to join our team in Bundoora, VIC. This is a casual role, offering flexible work hours to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions.

What you'll be doing

Providing one-on-one support and assistance to clients with ASD, helping them develop daily living skills, social communication, and community engagement

Implementing personalised support plans and interventions to address the unique needs and goals of each client

Facilitating engaging activities and outings to promote clients' physical, social, and emotional wellbeing

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to monitor client progress and communicate with families and other support services

Collaborating with the wider care team to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to client support

What we're looking for

Minimum two years of experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other complex needs

Strong understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to tailor support to individual needs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families

Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs

Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field

A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
