Service Development Manager
Full Time – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract (Leave Coverage) | Albany, WA

Are you an experienced health leader passionate about improving access and outcomes in rural and regional communities? Amity Health is seeking a values-driven and collaborative Service Development Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, covering a period of extended leave.

We work in partnership with government and non-government agencies, and health and service providers to offer services support, advocacy, leadership and coordination in the delivery and promotion of primary health care in the Great Southern, Midwest, South-East Coastal Goldfields, Southwest and Wheatbelt regions.
We provide a range of funded programs, as the needs of our rural and remote communities’ change. Because of this, the scope and number of programs is diverse, continuing to evolve as and when required.
About the role
This senior leadership position is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of primary health care programs that align with Amity Health’s strategic objectives.
You will lead a diverse portfolio of services including:
Integrated Chronic Disease Care (ICDC)
Aboriginal Health & Wellbeing through the Integrated Team Care (ITC) program
The Care Finder program
Community Allied Health Services
All services aim to deliver high-quality, culturally responsive, and person-centred care across the Great Southern and Wheatbelt regions.
The ideal candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with funding agreements and organisational policies, and drive service excellence. As a key connector within the health sector, you’ll cultivate strong partnerships with service providers, funders, and community stakeholders. This role is central to fostering a performance-based culture, supporting staff capability, and driving innovation in service delivery.
This is a full-time position 38 hours per week, located in our Head Office Centennial Park, Albany.

What you’ll bring (our Selection Criteria):
Proven leadership experience in health or community service settings
Strong understanding of community services and (or) primary health care standards.
Experience managing teams, budgets, and program outcomes.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
A commitment to equity, collaboration, and cultural safety.
