About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team at Sydney Pool Removal on a contract basis. This is an integral role responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery to carry out pool demolition and site preparation work across the Sydney metropolitan area. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

What you'll be doing

Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to demolish in-ground pools and prepare sites for new constructions

Carry out earthworks, including digging, trenching, and backfilling as required

Load and unload trucks, and transport equipment and materials to and from job sites

Perform routine maintenance and pre-start checks on assigned machinery

Work collaboratively with the broader construction team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standards

Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry

Certified in the operation of excavators and other relevant heavy machinery

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Current HR driver's licence and reliable transportation

Sub Contractors must have a minimum 2T tipper truck to float machinery and materials
