The Company

Our client is a well-established global business operating across both the skincare and pharmaceutical sectors. With a long-standing international presence and a strong footprint in the Australian market, the business is known for delivering high-quality health and wellness products through both consumer and prescription.

You will be working closely with the Finance Director and be a part of a team that prides itself on being collaborative, hands-on, and approachable. You will also enjoy a hybrid working environment with 2 days working from home!

The Role

This newly created role is due to a team restructure and offers the opportunity to take ownership of core accounting functions. Reporting to the FD, the Accounting Manager will have the following responsibilities:

Oversee and deliver the month-end close process and associated reporting

Prepare statutory accounts and manage the external audit process

Handle tax compliance with the support of external advisors

Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and control

Lead and develop two direct reports

Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function

Your Background

To be considered for this Accounting Manager role, you must fulfil most of the following criteria:

Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA)

Prior ownership of month-end reporting, tax (i.e. FBT, GST, and annual income tax) and managing the audit process (clearly stated on your resume)

Have been involved in process improvement initiatives

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with all levels of the business

Product-based industry experience (Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Wholesale, Logistics, etc.) OR Audit trained, having moved into commercial and after your next challenge
