The Opportunity

Our client is a private equity backed non-bank lender with a strong market presence and continued growth ambitions. They are seeking a Finance Manager to lead statutory and management reporting, consolidations, compliance, and controls. This role provides senior stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to strengthen governance while contributing to ongoing process improvement.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead month-end and year-end reporting cycles
• Prepare statutory accounts, consolidated management reports and board packs
• Manage audit processes and act as the key contact for external auditors
• Oversee tax and regulatory reporting including BAS, FBT and income tax
• Ensure integrity of the general ledger and reconciliations
• Strengthen financial control, policies, and governance frameworks
• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to deliver accurate insights and analysis
• Drive improvements across financial systems and reporting processes

The Expertise

• CA/CPA qualified with 6–10 years’ experience in financial accounting, reporting or audit
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and compliance
• Initial grounding in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm is highly regarded
• Hands-on experience preparing or auditing statutory accounts and consolidations
• Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and ownership
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders
• Experience in financial services or a PE-backed environment is valued but not essential
