Are you a Registered Nurse and natural communicator looking to apply your medical knowledge and advice in a new setting? As a Medical Assistance Coordinator, your clinical expertise and empathy directly shape the care and safety of travellers around the globe. In this role, you’ll combine your nursing background with case management skills to provide timely clinical advice, coordinate medical repatriations, and liaise with international providers to secure the best outcomes for travellers.

About Us

For more than 60 years, we've been dedicated to supporting travellers on their adventures, offering exceptional care and 24/7 medical assistance. Our world class travel insurance products, backed by a global network of medical and assistance providers, have helped more than 1.3 million travellers with an average of more than 13 repatriations a day around the world, caring for people in the moments that matter most.

About the Role

You’ll be at the heart of critical decision-making—balancing medical, financial, and logistical needs—while ensuring risks are managed effectively for both individuals and the business. If you thrive in fast-paced, complex environments and enjoy using your clinical skills in a global, dynamic setting, this role offers the chance to make a real impact while continuing to build your career in medical assistance and travel insurance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Be the trusted clinical expert travellers, providers, and colleagues turn to — assessing medical needs, verifying treatments, and escalating cases when required.

Coordinate global medical care by working with hospitals, doctors, and international providers to arrange safe, timely solutions like repatriations, evacuations, and fitness‑to‑fly clearances.

Balance care with policy knowledge, interpreting medical reports and applying travel insurance benefits/exclusions to guide claims and provide fair, evidence‑based recommendations.

Shape better traveller experiences by contributing to audits, process improvements, and projects that raise clinical standards while ensuring efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Keep your skills sharp through ongoing training, CPD, and specialist clinical upskilling such as life support and aeromedical training.

Promote safety and wellbeing, championing a traveller‑first culture while upholding compliance, risk management, and workplace health and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

AHPRA‑registered Nurses with at least 5 years' experience across a variety of clinical settings.

Calm, solutions‑focused and professional, with excellent communication skills.

Individuals capable of managing complex cases under pressure while balancing traveller care and business outcomes.

Experience in travel insurance or medical assistance is a plus.

What's in it for you?

By joining Europ Assistance, you'll be part of a rapidly growing and successful Global organisation. You will also enjoy:

Rewards and recognition- with team recognition programs and company bonus scheme.

Genuine flexibility, with options for hybrid, full-time, part-time, and tailored arrangements—designed to help you achieve the balance that works best for you.

Unrivalled career and development opportunities, with ongoing training to sharpen your clinical and product knowledge.

Modern, centrally located offices with exceptional transport connections. Plenty of local restaurants with Southbank on your doorstep and Brisbane City just minutes away.

An exciting, enthusiastic and supportive team culture to give you everything you need to succeed.
