About Cuthberts Boutique accounting and advisory firm seeking an experienced Accountant ready to own client relationships. You'll own your portfolio, becoming the go-to advisor for financial clarity while delivering practical, forward-looking guidance to privately owned and family-run businesses.

Founded by a practitioner who's built and sold a successful firm, we're growing again. This isn't a back-office role, you'll manage your own portfolio and provide forward-looking advice to privately owned and family-run businesses. Open to part-time (3.5-4 days, salary pro-rated).

What you'll do

Own and nurture your client portfolio, building trust and becoming their go-to for financial clarity

Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for SMEs

Manage your own client portfolio with full ownership

Handle ATO matters and complex compliance issues

Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning using cloud tools

Provide advisory support on operations, pricing, succession, and growth

Shape internal processes as we scale

What you bring

Minimum 5+ years in public practice with SME and family business experience

Strong technical skills across all entity structures (companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals)

Proven client management and ATO liaison experience

Corporate structuring and entity setup expertise

Budget and cashflow forecasting capabilities

Commercial mindset: you discuss strategy, not just compliance
