As a Client Services Officer, you’ll provide empathetic support and guidance to families with care and understanding. This role combines meaningful client interaction with important administrative responsibilities, all within a serene and naturally beautiful environment.

Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for clients of and visitors to the cemetery via various communication channels (in person, email, phone).

Assist families with interment arrangements, including interment options available, paperwork, the interment process, and memorialisation.

Coordinate with stakeholders such as funeral directors for burial and interment bookings, stonemasons for monumental works, and foundries for memorial plaque production.

Handle administrative and clerical duties associated with client requests.

Maintain accurate and compliant cemetery records supporting the Trust’s administrative functions.

About You

You have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a strong background in customer service. You are adept at engaging with families to understand their needs and providing assistance with compassion, empathy, and professionalism.

You are comfortable working in a cemetery environment, with the ability to support people experiencing grief or trauma, and the emotional resilience to manage demanding and sensitive situations on a regular basis.

You are confident using Microsoft Office and adaptable in learning new technologies.

You also have a good eye for detail and an interest in design, particularly in relation to memorialisation.
