Designer Staircases is one of Sydney's leading manufacturers of staircases, based in Prestons, Sydney. We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of custom staircases and balustrades.

Role & Duties

· Fabricating staircase components such as balustrades, steel spines, handrails using aluminium, mild steel & stainless steel etc

· Reports directly to the Metal department manager

About You

· Are both a team player and can work efficiently unsupervised

· Has the ability to work to deadlines

· Are reliable, responsible and has a 'can do' attitude

· Has an outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to deliver high-quality work.

Required Skills & Responsibilities

· Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent qualification

· High quality TIG welding skills a MUST (MIG a plus)

· Minimum 2+ years experience in metal fabrication and welding

· Current welding certifications an advantage

· Ability to read and interpret shop floor drawings

· Experience in the manufacture of similar work a bonus

· White/construction card

· Valid driver's licence (manual a plus)

· TIG welding test will be required during interview

· Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia (citizenship or valid work visa)
