About the role

Southern Stainless Steel Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Metal Fabricators to join our team in Howlong, NSW. This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and rapidly growing company that specialises in the manufacture of high-quality stainless steel products.

What you'll be doing

Fabricate and assemble a variety of stainless steel components and structures using welding, cutting, and other metal-working techniques

Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication

Operate a range of metal fabrication equipment, including MIG and TIG welding machines, plasma cutters, and grinders

Perform quality checks on completed work and maintain high standards of workmanship

Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of projects

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance productivity and efficiency

What we're looking for

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a metal fabrication or welding role, ideally in the stainless steel industry

Proficient in MIG and TIG welding, as well as other metal fabrication techniques

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

A valid driver's license and the ability to work at our Howlong, NSW facility
