About The role
The Digital Health Officer plays a key role in supporting WA Primary Health Alliance's mission to transform and sustain primary health care across Western Australia. This position is responsible for driving digital health initiatives that improve service delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and streamline healthcare systems. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, the officer contributes to the design, implementation, and evaluation of digital health projects aligned with WAPHA's strategic goals. The role demands a proactive and adaptable professional who can navigate a dynamic environment, champion innovation, and support the meaningful use of digital health tools.
🔹 Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid Role)
🔹Employment Type: Full-time Maximum term contract until 30th June 2026
🔹 Salary: Band 4 ($90k-$97k Plus 12% Superannuation)
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Support general practices and primary healthcare providers to adopt and utilise digital health tools including My Health Record, e-prescribing, telehealth.
- Drive adoption and use of MyHR by facilitating cross views of MyHR records authored by different health professionals.
- Build and maintain relationships with general practice, community pharmacy, allied health, and residential aged care providers.
- Help Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs) to embed the use of telehealth to connect residents to their healthcare providers
- Identify and communicate local digital health professional success stories and case studies.
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Assist in organising and facilitating events and training sessions for healthcare providers.
- Support data collection and reporting requirements as necessary.
About you
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:
Essential experience and education
- Excellent understanding of how digital health tools are utilised in primary care. Working as part of a project team
- IT proficiency and data collection/reporting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within teams and individually and to adapt to changing environments.
- Event planning and facilitation experience.
Desirable experience and education
- Experience working in primary care
- Development and delivery of training or education
- Record of engagement and data management in CRM systems
- Experience contributing to business transformation through digital innovation or service redesign initiatives
- Relevant qualifications in Health, training, or related discipline
