The role
Join a collaborative engineering team where your drafting skills directly impact how products are built and used in the field. You’ll create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings for conveyor equipment, frames and structures in Autodesk Inventor, while also contributing to concept designs, process improvements and design issue resolution. The role offers variety across office, workshop and occasional site settings.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings of conveyor components and frames using Autodesk Inventor.
• Review and improve drawing templates, documentation standards and drafting processes to support production efficiency and quality.
• Produce layout assemblies, detailed parts, and bills of materials in line with company standards.
• Support development of jigs, fixtures and assembly layouts and document any changes for production and support product validation activities.
• Provide drafting support for customer proposals and clarify specifications with engineering and sales as needed.
• Visit customer or site locations occasionally for familiarisation, measurements and to support commissioning or troubleshooting.

What we need from you

• Trade Certificate, Diploma or Associate Diploma in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Design or similar.
• Exposure to structural steel detailing or conveyor/rotating equipment advantageous.
• Experience in mechanical drafting, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor for 3D modelling and 2D detailing.
• Willing to attend occasional visits to customer sites when required and working between office and workshop environments
