Avia Homes is a young dynamic team who is seeking an Construction Manager, who has a positive can-do attitude, on a full-time ongoing basis.

As an Construction Manager you will be reporting directly to the Building Manager and expected to perform the following tasks:

Assist the Building Manager in project preparation and review to ensure effective planning and execution.

Support Construction Supervisors by providing guidance, resolving issues, and facilitating smooth day-to-day operations.

Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software, ensuring deadlines are met and adjustments are managed efficiently.

Distribute critical project information to contractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives.

Oversee projects from commencement to handover, ensuring smooth transitions between project phases.

Inspect ongoing and completed work to verify adherence to quality standards and ensure a high level of workmanship.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure reliable and efficient service delivery.

Ensure all work is completed to a satisfactory standard, addressing deficiencies proactively to uphold project quality.

Enforce and adhere to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe working environment across all sites.

Complete weekly reporting & progress updates to Management.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

QBCC Building Supervisors licence held for minimum 12 months

Certificate IV in Building & Construction Management, preferred

Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)

Trade/Construction background

Current drivers licence

Ideally, we are looking for someone who:

Has strong leadership & motivational skills

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple Site Supervisors

An ability to ensure that jobs are scheduled effectively and are managed within budget and time specifications.

Exceptional attention to detail and quality

Confidence and ability in dealing with a diverse range of people

Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines

Good communication skills, including oral and written communication

A passion to produce a high quality of work
