Are you a senior construction leader with a proven track record of operational excellence, commercial acumen, and team leadership? We are seeking an experienced State Construction Manager to take charge of a high-performing construction team in Queensland within the insurance building and repairs sector.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the National Construction Manager. You will be responsible for driving construction performance, managing and mentoring a skilled team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality repair outcomes across a dynamic portfolio of projects. You will lead from the front, setting the tone for operational delivery, client engagement, and safety standards across the state.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, high-quality, and profitable repairs while meeting key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Set the standard for project delivery, subcontractor management, and stakeholder communication
• Monitor construction performance metrics and resolve escalations with technical leadership
• Maintain compliance with Australian standards, codes, and WHS legislation
• Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, training, and team performance
• Conduct regular site visits, lead state construction meetings, and foster a high-performance culture

What We’re Looking For

• Senior-level experience in construction leadership, ideally within the insurance or remedial building sector
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or equivalent industry experience
• Strong technical knowledge of building codes, standards, and WHS compliance
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage commercial risk, and exceed performance targets
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
• A collaborative leader with a passion for quality, service, and continuous improvement
