We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager who thrives in a high-end, boutique hotel environment and is passionate about providing outstanding guest service in front office and some F&B operations.
The Role
As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the front desk, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for guests. You will play a key role in guest relations, staff supervision, and maintaining service excellence while assisting with reservations, check-ins, F&B and overall hotel operations.
This role is full-time or part-time, and operates on a stable roster with no overnight shifts. Ability to work a stable roster with some flexibility, including early mornings, evenings and public holidays. Earliest 6am, latest 12am.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle guest relations, resolving inquiries, special requests, and complaints.
Oversee daily check-ins and check-outs with attention to detail.
Action reservations and room allocations to optimise occupancy.
Assist F&B operations with breakfast buffet and evening wine bar.
Liaise regularly with housekeeping and maintenance to uphold hotel standards.
Manage billing and financial transactions with accuracy.
Ensure front office procedures are followed to maintain high service standards.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated hospitality professional with:
3+ years of hotel front office or duty manager experience.
Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems (RMS Cloud, Opera, Protel, etc.). RMS preferable.
A passion for guest service and creating memorable stays.
Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Flexibility to occasionally cover other shifts (no overnights) and some public holidays.
