An innovative, dynamic, growing technology scale up business with lots of passion and energy is expanding rapidly and requires an Operations Lead / Office Manager.

Leading a small team you will oversee and optimise the day to day business operations and lead projects.

About the role:

This hands-on role ensures processes run smoothly, resources are well managed, and systems support their strategic goals. You'll drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, efficiency, and a strong sense of ownership over the workplace experience.

Key responsibilities:

Governance & Compliance: Ensure policies and processes are understood, maintained, and followed (including travel coordination and responsibility mapping).

Process Implementation & Improvement: Develop and refine operational workflows for maximum efficiency and scalability.

Procurement & Office Management: Oversee purchasing of office supplies, equipment and manage vendor relationships.

Workplace Experience: Ensure the workspace is clean, safe, secure, and productive for all team members.

Cross-functional Support: Assist leadership and various departments with ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed.

Your experience and skills:

Proven experience in a small business or startup environment, where wearing multiple hats is the norm.

Background in roles such as Executive Assistant, Project Coordinator, or Facilities Manager.

Industry experience in technical, engineering, or defence sectors is a strong advantage.

Exceptional organisation and time management skills; you manage competing priorities with ease.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail and an eye for spotting inefficiencies or gaps in processes.

Tech-savvy and confident working with spreadsheets, internal systems, and productivity tools.

It is essential that you have experience in ISO9001 standards
