Stock Receiving & Quality Assessment

Receive incoming stock into the warehouse, cross-referencing deliveries against each grower’s advice documentation.

Conduct quality assessments upon arrival and separate stock into appropriate grades based on customer requirements.

Travel to grower regions to evaluate farming practices, assess harvest quality, and strengthen supplier relationships.

Stock Control & Ripening Management

Implement and maintain stock control systems to monitor inventory levels and product ripening stages.

Operate gas rooms for ripening green stock to the desired "sprung" condition.

Ensure accurate stock rotation aligned with supermarket order cycles (typically on a 7-day rotation).

Order Fulfilment & Customer Liaison

Coordinate closely with sales teams to fulfil dispatch requirements, ensuring stock readiness and quality compliance.

Monitor and uphold product standards to ensure consistent customer satisfaction and repeat orders.

Direct and supervise staff in the grading, sorting, and preparation of stock for dispatch.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

Liaise with transport providers to arrange timely distribution of goods to supermarket clients.

Manage email correspondence with growers and update stock information via grower and supermarket portals.

Engage in discussions with suppliers regarding quality issues, packing specifications, and customer expectations.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Apply Quality Assurance expertise to maintain accurate records of stock quality, safety controls, and traceability in line with food compliance requirements.
