This includes:
• Perform payroll reporting activities - pay reconciliations, monitoring robotic (RPA) pay advance payment process, statutory payroll reporting ie Single touch Payroll (STP) and superannuation file validations, integrity and exception reporting, scheduling and monitoring payrun task outputs including table updates, and vendor deduction reports and posting files to General Ledger.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing - using a sound understanding of payroll compliance and associated legislation to support HR system upgrades and system enhancements, agency transitions/Machinery of Government changes (MoG's).
• Analyse and interpret pay run service delivery issues - by researching and investigating human resource management, recommend effective solutions and coordinate with business areas ie Payroll to facilitate resolutions and advice in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain a productive work relationship - effectively communicate and collaborate with customers, clients, management and staff to identify and implement business practice improvements, ensuring high-quality customer service for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate in an accountable, fair and safe work environment - embrace human resource management practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination and performance management.
This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.
