About the role

Certifired passive fire services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Passive Fire Technician to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of passive fire protection and fire damper systems, ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings across the region.

What you'll be doing

Conduct thorough inspections of passive fire protection systems, identifying any issues or defects

Install, service, and maintain a variety of passive fire protection and fire damper equipment, including fire collars, fire sealants, and fire-rated barrier systems

Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on passive fire protection requirements and best practices

Prepare detailed reports on the condition and performance of passive fire protection systems

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Australian Standards, building codes, regulations, and manufacturers tested systems and installation specifications

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry developments

What we're looking for

Thorough understanding of passive fire protection systems, including installation, inspection, and maintenance

Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety

Effective communication and problem-solving skills

White card

Relevant qualifications or certifications in passive fire protection or a related field

A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to job sites as needed
