Due to growth and several new ongoing maintenance contracts our Sydney Fire Protection Maintenance client is seeking a new Dry Fire Alarm Programming and Testing Snr Tech to join their business in a Field Service roles across Sydney. Job Summary
As at Testing Fire Technician you will be responsible for :
Dry Tech" to complete AS1851 testing of the following (Detection, EWIS, Lighting, Passive , Doors)
Australian local candidates only my client will not sponsor.
Must have experience in diagnosing and fault find fire and evacuation systems and Alarms across Notifier, Ampac Pertronics FIPs.
A class Electrician and or Cert 3 Fire Techs Electronics etc quals
Must pass a D & A medical
Strong understanding of integrated fire systems with the ability to perform and report on annual tests of dry fire systems.
5 or more years working with the fire industry in a similar role
Service and breakdown experience in smoke detection, emergency warning and emergency lighting.
Understanding and working of Australian Standards ( AS1670 and AS1851).
Willing and capable to carryout diagnosis, fault finding and breakdown repairs on dry fire systems.
Ability to undertake monthly / 6 monthly / annual and 5 yearly inspections and testing on electrical fire equipment.
The ability to work un-supervised and self-manage stock and equipment necessary to carry out his or her duties.
Have good presentation and work ethic.
Fully maintained vehicle.
Must have strong written and verbal english skills.
Must have local customer knowledge and geographical knowledge of Sydney metro area.
Clean and tidy presentation for customers.
The Fire Technician will be working closely with clients on site and should enjoy interaction with clients.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking an experienced Dry Fire Testing Technician with the following qualifications:
Background in electrical testing and inspections and/or maintenance and installation of alarms
Cert 3 Fire
A Class Electrician
Electrician/Electronics/Programming Technology experience
Drug and alcohol assessment pass
Full open clean drivers licence

Will be currently working in a fire protection specialist company with an established market history, our client requires a person who is "field orientated".

This is a full-time role, and rate offered will be according to experience
Qualifications as an Electrician/Electronics/ Programming technician plus superannuation, overtime at double time, uniform, travel allowance, ongoing training, iphone ipad, fully maintained company vehicle dual cab ute.
