Banksia Medical Centre is seeking a compassionate and experienced Div 1 Registered Nurse to join our friendly general practice team for a 12 month maternity leave cover, with the possibility of a permanent role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about primary healthcare and enjoys working in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

This role involves working across two clinic locations – Newcomb and Torquay, offering variety and the chance to work with a broader team and patient base.

Available days:

Monday 9am - 5pm

Friday 9am - 5pm

*Extra shifts available for annual leave cover

Banksia Medical Centre is a well equipped General Practice with 10 GP's and Allied Health services.

We offer high quality medical care to our patients and we pride ourselves on our teamwork.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Tasks will include but are not limited to:

Following up patient results and recalls

Conducting health assessments and care plans

Coordinate and facilitate the treatment room - including stock control of all equipment and vaccines

ECG's

Immunisations - adults and children

Wound management

Holter monitors, 24hr blood pressure monitors and sleep studies

Iron infusions

Assisting doctors with minor procedures

Maintaining cold chain management systems

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with best practice and accreditation standards

Triage

Essential criteria:

Flexibility, a positive attitude and enthusiasm for participation in a team environment

At least 12 months General Practice experience preferred, but not essential

Immunisation certificate

Current APRHA registration - RN Div 1

Current CPR certificate

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Demonstrate confidentiality with patient and clinical information

Ability to multi task

Willingness and ability to work across both Newcomb and Torquay locations

Experience with Best Practice software would be an advantage
