The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to work with our endorsed enrolled nurse.
This position will transition into the Practice Nurse Management role mid-2026.
We have 3-4 days available; however, Monday/Thursday/Friday are required.

Our nurses work alongside our general practitioners and are valued for their contribution to the care of our patients.
Essential Role requirements:
To provide co-ordination and management of the nursing team at SKMG (mid-2026)
Provide input into the Director’s meetings and provide leadership for nursing services to the Directors (mid-2026)
Demonstrated knowledge of and a commitment to Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and the accreditation process
Ensure that all patients and visitors are received in a friendly and helpful manner, either in person or over the phone
Possess the clinical skills to conduct detailed assessments of patients to improve health outcomes
Can assess and develop chronic disease management care plans and have a passion for managing and co-ordinating care for patients with chronic care needs.
Able to maintain a high level of accuracy when recording and maintaining patient and clinic information
Able to assume primary responsibility for the co-ordination of Infection Control Standards and Cold chain management
Competent in administering vaccinations, spirometry, and ECGs
Proficient in wound care
Ability to assist doctors with minor surgical procedures
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Knowledge of clinical software using Best Practice or similar
Other Essential Requirements:
At least 2 years of previous Practice Nurse experience or community nursing experience is essential.
Registered Nurse - this is an essential requirement
Current AHPRA Registered
Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
Unrestricted ability to work in Australia – no working holiday visa please
