My client is a fast-growing accounting firm in Parramatta that offers accounting and tax services to a broad range of clients including SMEs and large commercial groups.

Due to substantial growth over the last 18 months, they are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to deliver high quality service to their clients.

Reporting to one of the Directors, you will be responsible for executing all client bookkeeping tasks as well as managing a team of 2-3 bookkeepers.

Some additional responsibilities include but not limited to:

Completing bank reconciliations and cash flow management

Month end reporting

Accounts payable and receivables

Debtor management

Payroll and superannuation obligations

Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and BAS reports

Complying with the lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements

Liaise with clients on a daily basis

Work directly with the directors on high level clients.

Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and procedures

Applicants:

Approximately 5 years' experience or more in a similar role, ideally within an accounting firm

Certificate IV Bookkeeping and Accounting or equivalent

Proficient with Xero

Adaptable and ability to work well in a team environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
