Workshop Supervisor – 4WD Store

Location: Alice Springs NT

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring quality of work and safety and efficiency throughout installs.

Assist with technical problem-solving and diagnostics

Provide mentoring, guidance, and technical support to workshop team members

Train junior technicians in 4WD accessory installation, suspension fitting, wiring, and vehicle preparation.

Ensure jobs are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes

Allocate jobs, manage workflow, and maintain workshop equipment and cleanliness

Liaise with sales/admin teams for job preparation and customer updates

Maintain WHS standards and encourage a strong safety culture

Lead by example and uphold a culture of professionalism and pride in workmanship

From time to time, you will be required to personally carry out workshop tasks normally delegated to staff, particularly when operational needs demand hands-on involvement.

About You:

Trade qualified or similar background preferred

Proven hands-on experience in 4WD accessory fitting and suspension installation

Previous experience in a supervisory, leading hand, or trainer role highly regarded

Strong understanding of vehicle systems including electrics, suspension, and accessories

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Patient and proactive when working with junior staff or trainees

Organised and able to manage workflow and job scheduling

Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

Current driver’s licence (manual) compulsory. Advantage – MR / HR Licence

Desirable but not essential:

Forklift License
