About the Role
Based at Ironbark’s Humpty Doo Digital Literacy Centre, the Project Supervisor – Business Administration & Digital Literacy leads, trains, and mentors Community Development Program (CDP) participants. The role focuses on building employability skills through practical instruction, supervision, and tailored training in business administration and digital literacy.
You will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, developing participant skills across a range of business and digital areas, and ensuring project activities are culturally safe, community-focused, and aligned with employment outcomes.
What you will do
In this role, you will lead and mentor CDP participants, creating a structured and engaging daily routine that builds their business administration and digital literacy skills. You will deliver hands-on training in areas such as business software, communication, writing, digital safety, teamwork, and career development, ensuring participants gain both practical abilities and confidence to pursue employment pathways. By motivating and inspiring participants, you will foster a supportive learning environment that is culturally inclusive and responsive to community needs.
You will also play an important part in coordinating project activities, liaising with Project Coordinators, trainers, and community stakeholders to ensure initiatives are meaningful, relevant, and aligned with employment outcomes.
We are looking for a suitable applicant who has:
• Experience in adult education, training, or vocational learning.
• Strong technical knowledge of digital systems, hardware, and software.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage small groups with varying skill levels.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Client service experience, including conflict management and participant support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools.
• Sensitivity to working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• A National Police Clearance, Working with Children Card, and driver’s licence (required).
• Previous CDP or NIAA experience (highly desirable).
