Emergency Communication Supervisor
We are looking for a strong leader to join our Emergency Communications Centre (ECC) in Darwin, as an ECC Supervisor.
About the role
An ECC Supervisor is responsible for the provision of operational leadership and supervision to Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMDs) and has ‘on shift’ responsibility for operations of the ECC. The ECC Supervisor ensures the ECC is adequately resourced and equipped to meet service needs and oversees the effective and efficient receipt and management of requests for service.
This position works collaboratively with the Territory Deployment Manager (TDM) and the Duty Manager Operations (DM) to ensure coordination of ambulance resources is in accordance with operational goals and objectives.

What we’re looking for
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing staff in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in the coordination of ambulance or emergency resources.
- Ability to provide clear, sound advice to EMDs in complex or challenging situations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collate and interpret reports and statistical data, and contribute to policy and procedure development.
- Confidence in multi-tasking across multiple systems.
- Flexibility to work a rotating 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.
