We provide national leadership on the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and collaborate with the Australian and state and territory governments to:

  • implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families
  • monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Law across all states and territories
  • support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role

The Quality Uplift Program is a partnership between ACECQA and the Government of South Australia, Office of Early Childhood Development (OECD). The Quality Support Facilitator, Quality Uplift Program provides tailored professional learning and support to South Australian education and care services. The purpose of the program is to support participating services in their understanding of the National Quality Framework, enabling them to make measurable improvements against the National Quality Standard (NQS). Additionally, the Quality Uplift Program will support service leaders and approved providers to lift their capability in operating quality education and care services including the embedding of a positive organisational culture focused on continuous quality improvement and critical reflection. Furthermore, the program will support services in their ability to deliver quality educational programs and practices, including the application of the Early Years Learning Framework.

Two roles available, 1 part-time (0.6FTE) and 1 full-time, fixed-term (until 30 June 2026) at ACECQA Band 5 ($103,179- $122,039).

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated contemporary knowledge and experience in delivering professional learning and support through a variety of approaches within the children's education and care sector.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in, the delivery of children's education and care, the NQF and the Early Years Learning Framework, including identifying and embedding quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cultural responsiveness and in creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment.
  • Developed analytical, interpersonal and high level written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to research, analyse and interpret information and communicate succinctly across a diverse range of audiences (including the development and delivery of presentations, resources and/or online learning).
  • Proven ability to develop and nurture collaborative, positive and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate with confidence to support program and organisation outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a range of technology and learn new systems quickly and efficiently.

While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:

  • Experience working with metro, regional and remote services and with multiple service types in the South Australian context including, early childhood, preschools, kindergartens, family day care, outside school hours care and services out of scope of the NQF.
  • Qualifications, training and/or experience in mentoring/coaching practices.

  2. You have been asked to develop and deliver a 30-minute presentation on critical reflection. Using bullet points, please outline the steps you would take to develop the presentation and provide 3 to 5 key concepts you would cover.
