About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and organised Book Keeper Administration Clerk to join our team at Northern Scales Service in Cairns, QLD 4870. This part-time role is essential in supporting the smooth running of our business.
What You'll Be Doing
· Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing
· Preparing monthly financial reports and statements
· Assisting with taxation and compliance requirements
· Providing administrative support to the wider team as needed
· Ensuring all record-keeping and documentation is well-organised and easily accessible
What We're Looking For
· At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting assistant role, ideally within a small business or service-based industry
· Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work
· Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· An understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements for small businesses
· Demonstrated proficiency with Quickbooks (or similar accounting software) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
