I am recruiting an experienced Project Support Officer to join a large Queensland Government Department on a 12-month contract.

Working within the ICT Support Services team, this role is responsible for delivering high-level project administration and support across a portfolio of ICT initiatives within the Information and Technologies Branch. You will provide day-to-day project coordination, reporting and stakeholder support to enable Project Managers to focus on the successful delivery of project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end project support using approved project control tools and methodologies to ensure alignment with objectives, timelines and deliverables;
  • Assist in research and analysis on project issues, including the collection, collation and interpretation of data to support decision-making;
  • Prepare and draft reports, spreadsheets, planning documentation and correspondence using a range of software applications;
  • Organise meetings, workshops, forums and focus groups with stakeholders; prepare agendas, coordinate logistics and record minutes;
  • Support project boards including preparation of agendas, materials and accurate minutes;
  • Create resources and documentation to support capability uplift of departmental ICT products;
  • Lead product readiness activities to ensure effective communication, documentation and training prior to operational handover;
  • Log, track and resolve incidents through the helpdesk ticketing system; and
  • Maintain transparency across stakeholders through clear communication of progress, priorities and business value.

Capabilities and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting ICT-enabled projects within a complex environment;
  • Proficiency in project management tools, with skills across financial, functional and technical aspects of project administration;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team in a large, dynamic organisation;
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse groups; and
  • Experience in product management, including roadmap execution and lifecycle ownership.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering high-impact ICT products; and
  • Interest or prior knowledge in AI systems and technology highly regarded.
