Heritage Resort Shark Bay is a family-run business offering a warm welcome and a
range of services to visitors and locals alike. Our Hotel and Restaurant is
renowned for its friendly atmosphere and delicious food, while our Motel provides comfortable and convenient accommodation options.
We are currently looking to recruit for 3 key positions Hotel/Motel Manager and Receptionist to join our
supportive and family-oriented team in a fast-paced environment with an
offering wage of $75000-$80,000 depending upon experience.
Hotel Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, and food & beverage.
Ensure a high standard of guest service and satisfaction.
Manage budgets, financial reporting, and occupancy targets.
Recruit, train, and supervise staff across multiple departments.
Implement and maintain health, safety, and compliance standards.
Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue and efficiency.
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience in hotel management or a similar senior hospitality role.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of hospitality management systems and procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly.
Strong financial and business acumen.
Motel Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day motel operations, including reservations, housekeeping, and maintenance.
Deliver excellent customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
Manage staff rosters, training, and performance.
Monitor budgets, costs, and occupancy rates.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accommodation standards.
Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Skills & Requirements:
Previous experience in motel management or accommodation operations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Sound understanding of compliance and safety regulations.
Receptionist
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome guests on arrival, check-in/check-out, and handle inquiries and messages.
Manage front desk operations and guest communications (phone, email, online channels).
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Exceptional guest service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with Guest Point software; fast learner and adaptable.
Positive, professional team player with flexible availability.
Skills & Requirements:
Hospitality/reception experience (1+ year preferred); potential for strong candidates.
Ability to learn and use Guest Point; willingness to train.
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training a plus.
Eligibility to work in Australia (or country of operation); valid work rights.
Professional appearance and reliable, punctual work ethic (able to stand for extended periods).
