Noosa Council is looking for an experienced Senior Designer - Capital Works to join our Infrastructure Planning and Design team. You’ll take the lead on high-profile road, drainage, and urban projects, preparing design documentation that turns ideas into reality, from concept through to construction. This is your chance to make a lasting impact on our vibrant community while working in a supportive and progressive team.

What you’ll do:

Lead and deliver complex civil design projects on time and within budget.

Prepare designs, specifications, and estimates for roads, intersections, drainage, and urban infrastructure.

Mentor and guide junior designers while maintaining high-quality drafting standards.

Collaborate with internal teams, Councillors, stakeholders, and the community to achieve innovative outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience in rural and urban road and drainage design.

Strong skills in AutoCAD, 12d Model Civil and Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Bonus: knowledge of environmental legislation, traffic engineering, urban design, or universal access.

Remuneration: Level 6.1 ($98,037 Base + 12% employer superannuation + 17.5% leave loading / $111,279 Total Package)
Position Type: Temporary Full-Time (until 30 June 2028)
