As a small firm with a loyal client base across the Southern Queensland/Northern NSW region, we specialise in tax and business advisory services. An exciting opportunity has now become available for a Senior Accountant to join our team.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

Preparation of Income Tax Returns (personal, trust, partnership, company, SMSF)

Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS & IAS

Preparation of Financial Statements for all entities including large client groups

Liaise with ATO on client matters

Adhoc projects

What we are looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce or similar

Minimum 2 years accounting experience

Commenced or looking to start CA or CPA studies

Excellent communication skills

Proficiency in Xero and MYOB (essential), experience with QuickBooks (desirable)

Experience with complex tax matters including Division 7A, CGT and trust distributions

Experience mentoring junior accountants and reviewing their work

Have the right to work in Australia
