Glide Products is a privately owned Western Australian company and operates from its factory and office in Wangara Western Australia. Established in 1974 and ISO 9001 certified, Glide is one of Australia's leaders in the manufacture of motorized and manual wheelchairs.
Glide Products has an immediate requirement for an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to join the team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a qualified and experienced personal to step into a stand-alone role and oversee the procurement and inventory management process to make efficient production process.
Days and hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am-4pm at 66, Prindiville Drive Wangara, 6065 WA.
It is essential that you are a team player and happy and willing to undertake not only the high level
Supply and distribution management, but also other related activities Including but not limited to: finance, logistics, process management and procurement management.
More about the role:
The Supply and distribution manager would expect to manage the supply chain and inventory management end to end process while overseeing production cost management to achieve company objectives in a timely manner. Moreover, this role will be liaising with Microsoft dynamic software team on warehouse inventory management processes to improve inventory holding costs and not to interrupt production process.
Skills and Experience:
At least 3 years of warehouse operations and distribution management experience in the wheelchair manufacturing industry.
Ability to work in different ERP systems such as Greentree and Microsoft Dynamic Business Central.
Ability to work with different currencies (GBP, USD, Yen).
Experience of working in/with an outsourced service provider.
Strong KPI management and inventory operations management capabilities.
Analytical & problem-solving capability.
Strong self-driving and creative thinking.
Detail-oriented and good analysis skill.
High sense of responsibility.
Can work under pressure and in a challenging environment.
Ability to prepare highly detailed presentations and reports.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Previous knowledge and experience in financial costing and handling overseas suppliers would be an add advantage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification or more than three years’ experience
Material Costing Management qualification would be an added advantage.
Tickets and Licenses:
Driver’s License
National Police Clearance (less than 6 month old at own cost)
Salary : Aud 80,000 – 90,000 Per Annum
