Our client, Department of Education, are currently seeking a Change Analyst to join their Human Capital Management Solution (HCMS) program.
Position overview
The Change Analyst for the HCMS program will conduct analysis to identify change impacts and identify potential risks to the business and to the program. They will also undertake problem solving and assist in developing interventions to address these business impacts.
Key tasks / responsibilities:
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders to inform the change management strategy and tactics.
- Assist with the development and execution of detailed change management plans in coordination with the Change Manager to support the HCMS program implementation.
- Participate in the creation and distribution of communications to keep stakeholders informed about HCMS program updates and developments.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and the planning of training sessions to facilitate the successful adoption of the new HCMS.
- Support the tracking and reporting of change management metrics to evaluate the success of change initiatives and adapt plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
- Participate in focus groups and workshops with end users to gather feedback and understand resistance, ensuring a user-centred approach to change.
- Help maintain project documentation related to change management, including stakeholder analyses, change impact assessments, and communication records.
- Assist with the management of the change network, engaging and supporting change champions within the organisation to drive the HCMS program's success.
- Facilitate and coordinate between cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to change management across the program.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for change management events, engagements, and training sessions.
- Utilise change management tools and methodologies to support activities and initiatives in line with industry best practices.
- Engage in continuous learning about the HCMS to maintain a high level of system knowledge to support change activities effectively.
- Offer support to end users post-implementation, handling inquiries and helping manage the resolution process for any issues that arise.
Capabilities / Desirable attributes:·
- Demonstrated experience in change management in complex ICT-enabled change programs or projects, including the utilisation of structured organisational change methodologies and tools.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to interpret and distil complex data, prepare written reports and propose business focused solutions·
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the capability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organisational skills working in a demanding environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results within tight timeframes.
- Capacity to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including team members, management, and end users.
- Familiarity with Human Capital Management Systems and the ability to quickly understand their functions and features to support users.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with an ability to think on your feet and respond to emerging challenges in the change process.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work within continually changing project scopes and deadlines.
- Advanced skills in the use of digital analytical tools such as MS Excel, Access or similar for data-driven change analysis.
- A strong team player, with a commitment to supporting the collective goals of the change management team and the larger HCMS program.
Mandatory requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of change management principles, practices, and methodologies, with a willingness to learn and apply new techniques.
- Experience in analysing data and conducting impact assessments to inform effective change strategies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create clear, concise, and targeted messaging for various audiences.

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
