This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a large, well-established for-profit aged care provider and play a key role in commissioning a brand-new 80-bed residential aged care home opening in September.

About the role:
Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of nurses and care staff to ensure the highest standards of clinical care. As Care Manager, you’ll have the unique chance to help build this new facility from the ground up, shape its culture, and set the standard for excellence in aged care.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and oversee resident care in line with Aged Care Quality Standards
• Mentor, guide and support RNs and care staff to deliver person-centred care
• Develop and review care plans, assessments, and clinical documentation
• Support commissioning activities and contribute to establishing clinical systems and processes
• Drive quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with residents and families to ensure individual needs and preferences are met

About you:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous leadership experience in aged care (Care Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or similar)
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of aged care compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a passion for building teams
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to a successful commissioning process
