The Yard Brisbane is seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to oversee marine projects, ensuring their efficient execution, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role is ideal for someone with a background in ship repair/building, engineering, and project management.

Position Overview: As the Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the administrative, financial, and risk aspects of marine projects at The Yard Brisbane. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, manage, and prioritize individual tasks during vessel maintenance periods

Lead and coordinate contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring project specifications and quality standards are met

Communicate effectively with ship superintendents and staff

Identify and mitigate potential risks or constraints affecting project delivery

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, legal and regulatory requirements

Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and industry partners

Qualifications:

Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication or Mechanical Engineering (required)

Experience in ship repair/building (highly desirable)

Project Management certification (highly desirable)

Proven leadership skills in managing contractors and sub-contractors

Proficiency in MS Office and planning tools (e.g., MS Project)

Work Schedule:

Full-time position (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Flexible hours as required to meet project deadlines or customer needs
