As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations with precision, insight, and integrity.
Your Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in managing our financial activities and ensuring compliance, accuracy, and insight in all financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing financial reports, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and cost accounting reports for management and the Board of Directors.
Assisting in the development of budgeting processes and accounting policies.
Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable within XERO or MYOB.
Recording month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations.
Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and Prepaid Expenses accounts.
Assisting in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Producing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly management reports.
Lodging BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, and Superannuation returns.
Supporting the preparation of Company Tax Returns.
Monitoring and managing cash flow and identifying financial risks.
Preparing audit documentation and conducting financial investigations as required.
Supporting corporate strategy by identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Preparing monthly GST reports and submitting reports to the ATO via Single Touch Payroll (STP).
Collaborating with management to draft and implement new accounting policies and budgets.
Ensuring accurate payroll data, including up-to-date award rates and compliance with legislative changes.
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional who is ready to contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused business. The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Full working rights in Australia.
At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
High attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as XERO or MYOB.
A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
